Here at North Eastern Anomalous Research (NEAR) we also are in the field of investigating Cryptid species such as Bigfoot, Jersey Devil, Lake creatures, just to name a few. The animals that Crypto zoologist study is usually referred to as Cryptids, a term coined by John Wall in 1983. Cryptozoology means the study of hidden animals who’s existence has not yet been proven. This includes searching for living examples of animals that have been considered extinct. Cryptozoology is not a recognized branch of zoology or a discipline of science. It is an example of pseudoscience because it relies heavily upon anecdotal evidence, stories and alleged sightings. Personally I say why not, why can’t they exist most species once did. Scientist and many others discover new species of animal often. If we have so many species of animal here on earth that have been around thousands of years why not others.
